Green (IP)

Green box for this,
Black box for that
Swing bin for something else and
The big bin for everything not in
the others -

But nobody ever calls

Each week I consult my leaflet
Study the calendars
Printed on the back
Shaded week for this
Unshaded week for that

And still nobody calls

I ring the council every day
And despite being
Very important
I am in a queue
And must be patient

But nobody ever answers

So I send them an email
Saying nobody calls and
Nobody speaks and the
Stress is making me ill

But all I get is an auto-reply
To say they will send
Another reply
In three working days

Ha, but nobody works
As nobody calls
And the rubbish piles up
As I try to be green

Now I'm drowning in green,
My least favourite colour...

Because nobody ever calls.
