Kali Yuga - Brave New Year
By D G Moody
- 577 reads
Then it became the age of iron,
When the jester became the king,
And we sold the farm for fool’s gold.
As the hurdy-gurdy man got paid,
To sing his song without a rhyme;
While we threw away the fruit,
And instead preferred the rind.
As for the nation – well, ducky,
Never mind because we’ll be bold,
In reclaiming what was ours by right:
By recouping our lost fortunes of old.
As our business buccaneers sail on
And on, until they are out of sight,
While upon the sand our castles stand.
But alas we found that the clock lied,
And our sandcastles melted in the tide.
Meanwhile the bankers pocketed the key,
While the politicians perfected their lies,
Which then became their currency.
So, now we have to ask what it was all for,
Because for better or worse its now 2024.

What was it all for in 24? It was not for the likes of us to ask why, just to die in another war without end. That's the truth my friend.
