The weight is over
glass half full upon us
for spring is here
Collapse the nights
fold by fold
let southern skies make way
Swollen lungs to deflate
held breath - no more
to pound the air anew
Roaming, whispering voices
now scream blossom bloom
where doubt once crept unseen
A promise to return, fulfilled
from every birdsong corner
with backs still turned to winter
Stars concede to dawn
lay claim to morning dew
and sparks fire days like they're still in heaven.
