Spooky Old Things

On a New Year’s Day, and on a birthday evening, I usually pick some ‘Intuitive Solutions’ cards, asking the question; ‘What would be good for me to remember for this coming year?’
Last Friday, I was surprised at my kitchen window by the sight of a full and beautifully creamy-yellow moon. So beautiful, I went outside for a better view. It was almost midnight, silent and calm, the breeze from earlier in the day, tucked up under a briar rose somewhere. It was still twilight to my left, to the north, and dark velvet blue to the south. As I stepped right out of the front door, I was startled by a pipistrelle bat flickering silently overhead. It swithered up, around the holly tree, before it disappeared. I wonder where. In suitably wistful mood, I came back inside and picked some cards for this coming year.
Insight: ‘You do what you say you’re going to do’ [Yoga daily practice, finishing the cloud painting, oh they are spooky old things these cards]*
Setback: ‘It’s always me who has to do it and nobody cares, nobody notices and nobody ever helps me!’ [Don’t waste precious time by choosing self-pity.]
Insight: ‘Your personality is radiant with LOVE in the present situation. Recall a time when you experienced love.’ [Vision of the rain falling on our recumbent faces in the walled garden yoga on Saturday, rainy-scent of plants and trees. Us all smiling and laughing packing up our yoga mats.]
Big love of Life.
Yes.
More of this please.
Angel: ‘Willingness’. “Approach life with an open mind and a how-can-we-make-it-work attitude. Use your will skilfully to enhance the creative process rather than inhibit it.”
I picked a single card from a different, beautiful deck:
‘Journalling’.
Stopped at that, was starting to freak myself out.
