Caught In Charm Of What I See

Dear diary...
My senses experience significant
aura caught in moments like this,
in my mind lightness flutters...
shimmering even in absence of
sun.
Ruddled marked sheep spill out in
fields; fresh sweet grass that's no
longer drenched with early dew,
fleeces once bathed in sun's rays;
left behind beyond trees.
What I see now; an unassuming
lake – wild as its inhabitants,
where rushes enfold ripples that
catch the light; every bit in
harmony as sound of plucked harp.
I'm lulled by arrival, beautiful
essence; family of swans, eight
fluffy infants must be cared for,
born into this world with not a
care...
I clasp my camera ready for action,
eyes weep with happy emotional
tears, taking silent steps back home
to dreamland, not wishing to break
the spell.
Photo is my own, taken again at
Stanton Park back in early June,
of a family of swans. Eight fluffy
sygnets swam right up to me with
mum and dad already to pose...
put a big smile on my face.

Swans
A really nice poetic description of life around a lake. I like this and I like your photograph too.
There's something really special about swans. People say they can break your arm but I've never seen them show any more aggression than a bit of that snorting-growling noise they make when you go near thier nests. I could look at them for hours.
I remember reading the Children of Lir when I was a kid and then wishing I could be a Child of Lir whenever human childhood problems cropped up.

Trust
I understand you completely Jenny. It's aways an emotionally overwhelming feeling when animals approach us, signifying that they trust us. Even if they probably only want some food it's still great to feel that connection with them.
A lovely moment by the lake to treasure in your writing, your photographs and your memory.

A lovely scene, shorn sheep
A lovely scene, shorn sheep and swan family.
So graceful and maajestic as they glide along, like a royal barge expecting cheers from the bank!
To approach would worry them that they were going to be attacked, or their cygnets or their nest, and those wings are certainly powerful! Thank you. Rhiannon

Great response to the IP,
Great response to the IP, Jenny. It's a special moment when we're allowed up close to another species. There's something reassuring in knowing that they are going about their own lives, and couldn't give a stuff what we're up to or whatever our current preoccupations are. They'll tolerate us as long as we respect them, as you have here. Sadly, that's not always a human being's way.
Thanks for such a lovely read.

"in my mind lightness
"in my mind lightness flutters...
shimmering " that's a great way to describe feeling very happy! Thankyou so much for sharing this moment. 8 signets is a LOT! I do wonder if they picked up on your joy at seeing them? I am sure animals and birds can. Maybe the parents were proud :0)

I am glad that your pain is being investigated now. I hope the x ray shows the cause, and that doctors know how to sort it. You are so brave, take care of yourself

What a wonderful, special
What a wonderful, special time that was for you Jenny - thank you so much for sharing it. I once lived in a house with a stream at the end of the garden and I was lucky enough to have a swan couple build a nest right there in front of me - it was such an amazing experience. The swans trusted me, even though my sons were both young at the time, and I had cats - because we were always very careful near them. We were so near we even got to see one of the eggs hatch - I'll never forget that moment!

This reminds me of West Hunsbury Country Park near me.
That's a bucolic poem and a lovely pic, Jenny. Just lovely :)
