So quietly

I am sitting here ever so quietly
Cause Aunt Mary, is coming to tea
And Mummy has run out of hours and hands
Keeping the dirt off-a me
My knees have been scrubbed, with a loofa!
My fingers, she's soaked till they crink
My worm-house is forbade to the garden
My soil food she's swilled down the sink!
I dare'nt move cause I'm hiding a secret
Under my marshmallow-pink party-dress
I'm frowning each time that she glances
If I smile she'll see cause to confess
My plan is to sit here forever!!
If I move I 'm in trouble for-sure
She's swished mud potatoes and carrots
But I rescued the pie by the door
