DIDN'T KNOW

I didn't know how to want you;
I couldn't like you in that sense.
I didn't know how to need you,
But didn't want to cause offence.

I didn't know how to love you;
Wishful thoughts and you didn't fit.
I didn't know how to miss you;
Now I don't know how to stop it.
