VIOLINS AND PAST FEELINGS

They had cosy nicknames for each other,
That they are now not permitted to say.
Intimate things are no longer discussed.
They can now forget the other's birthday.
Eyes that said 'I badly need you closer',
Is a look that neither of them now gives;
When the warmth of a relationship dies,
But the need to remain in contact lives.
