Living Dead

It is not difficult
to think of a list
of spooky songs:
'Thriller'
the Bollywood version
of 'Thriller',
'Monster Mash',
I will go on and on.
My brain is made to spew trivia.
In The Woolpack,
I named all the Christmas songs
from 1970-85.

At the party,
my knee slips
from its groove
to play dead
with a zombied Pat Sharp
another corpse
has me backwards
and forwards
against the sink
I dance for them:
all the shuffles
when the clock winds back.
