The First Kiss

He looked down at me
Eyes full of love
And asked me the most important question
“Can I kiss you?”

I looked up at him
Heart full of glee
“Yes” I replied
And leaned in closer

His head came down
His lips touched mine
Warmth filled my heart
And went deep in my soul

We let go and then kissed again
His warm lips with mine
Both bodies shivering
With excitement and cold

He looked down again
And said in a whisper
From the depths of his heart
“I truly am the luckiest guy in the world!”

thank you for your comment on my poem. Your poems are very nice to read. Very warming. It's important in life to appreciate the strongest feelings whether it be love, life or death. Love is what makes the world a beautiful place, it can be tough at times and hard to understand, but reminding ourselves that nothing lasts we can start to enjoy what we have at this moment.
