You've Changed.

One day you love me
the next you become a stranger
a passerby or a bully.
I promised to myself
never cry again for you.
Loving me is the hardest
thing you ever did?
I found another who was
strong hearted, open minded
understandng, genuine,
and what went on between us
was a feeling of desire
beyond our control.
You turned me away so many times.
How will these wounds ever heal
after you dug your claws in
and ripped out any soul I had left
that had not already been smashed by this misery.
Things happened, you lost faith
there is no point in this naked regret.
I guess I never truly knew you.
This is what you have become.
Here are you're true colours
wild violets in a flaming siege
scarlet scars the floor
my battered eyes bloodshot from this chore.
You know who I am.
I care so much and it's a strain to fix
all these broken dreams.
Where our love once began and crashed in exasperation, I must swindle you again.
These repetitions are fanciful and I know we will rejoice again.
