I wish you could see
how I twitch and burn
and shiver just
thinking of you
and those heady days
of breaking out
from crimplene guilt
and religious mania
spinning me round
flashing lights in my eyes
so I couldn't see where
I was going -
before sirens screamed
doors slammed
in my face
leaving letters unwritten
the bible unread
a half-empty glass
by a crumpled bed
all there was and all there is
and so much more besides
and I wish you knew
I wish you'd known
just how it felt
how it still feels
just how it was
for me

'crimplene guilt,' is definitely a new description to
me, I really love it.
Well you certainly haven't got writers block with
this little ditty.
Thankyou for the read.
Congratulations on the cherries, well deserved.
Jenny.

I think this is beautiful. I also think it works very well because of the enigmatic nature of the poem. A well - deserved cherry.

Hello seashore.
I liked this one, from "Rooms by the sea" and all the ones in between.
You say in your profile, quote
"...like writing which doesn't come nearly as easily to me. I can't write about..."
You can, forty cherries say's so, ok?

Enjoyed this, so much emotion in it.
And images and memories of life!
Could have put on the end Let's Start Again"
And entered it for the comp; last day to-day.
