Time to wipe
away the tears
and turn from
the pain, so real
and frightening

they’re gone,
son and son on
a toboggan built
for two friends

laughing with
reddened cheeks and
riding the hill’s
edge of forever.

It's written with feeling but what's the connexion between the Thames and the toboggan?

Hello Luly, a very good point, one not brought up anyone before. So check it out later, and see the necessary revision. This terrible incident occurred when these two boys slid down a winter hill and went through the ice on the Thames River which goes through London, Ontario. Thanks for the observation. Richard LP
