He stands magnificent in centre ring
His chest puffed out in pompous form
The suit of light flashes with thread of gold
Torero is a mighty man.
An arrogance of face aware
Hysteria from a roaring crowd
Red cape in hand is his defence
Against this once poor forceful beast.
His work part done, just one more charge
Will surely end this helpless soul
A triumph that they all will cheer
As though it was a noble fight.
Then it begins, a trumpet sounds
The air is thick with heated breath
A lunge from Torero with sharpened sword
Brings mighty bull to painful end.
The ears are cut and held up high
Trophies from this epic fight
Spectators cheer and hankies waived
Can no one see this pointless act.

Hello Edenfalls, Yes, I'm
Hello Edenfalls,
Yes, I'm with you on this. I hate cruelty of any kind but for sport...never!
A really good poem though! From that aspect much enjoyed.
