The eye of the screen blinks
its ray, shimmers and winks;
The shadows seep and creep,
Leaping, seemingly weeping
upon the floor.
The pests are crawling,
they're sprawling on shadowed shrinks
Splayed, they're laying their eggs
on the lighted floor.
The door is alight
with fire, burning and linking
myself and its dark bright
upon the floor.
Canvassing creatures of night
caressing and creeping, reeking
Of flesh.
Perish should I if light
burns the carpet, and I thinking,
as the screen stares winking,
This world will surely die.
