Little eyelids drooping
she drifts deeply into sleep;
then the creamy sky grows pink
and the setting sun sinks deep.
Then her head goes roaming far
off to that distant land of dreaming
and the gloamings filled with stars
all brightly glistening and gleaming.
Pretty lashes that are
lit by rays of bright sunrise
like wings then begin to flutter
as her gaze ascends blue skies.

This is sweet. I really
This is sweet. I really liked it. The only thing I might change if it was me, is - 'head' in stanza 3, to - mind. I know what you meant, but it just sounded a bit funny to think of a head going off roaming. Still, that is just my opinion and likely to be wrong, so please feel free to ignore.
I thought this was lovely.
