Result! (part 1)

Was it worth all the pain and countless troubles, the sickness and the sleepless nights on chemo? Yes it was because the affected lymph nodes have shrunk right down and a tumour on my sternum (I hadn't been told I'd got) has gone. And what of the breast lump? Well, it has reduced enough for surgery - and surgery is planned for January.
Saw the surgeon - not the one what's doin' the deed - but a very nice man who was kind and reassuring, and who took the time to answer questions with patience and understanding. I'm really scared of surgery and of the pain afterwards, and when I told him this, he said that after chemo, I'd think surgery was a piece of cake. I said I was also scared because I get extremely sick after an anesthetic, and he said they would address this problem at the time of the operation.
I walked out of there relieved, not only because the cancer has been responding to treatment, but glad it hasn't spread. I'd been thinking all sorts in the lead up to this visit, and if they'd told me I'd need more chemo... Well, I just don't know... But it's good news, and for that I'm thankful.

Oh! Bee,
Oh! Bee,
I'm over the moon for you. The results you've been waiting for, must have you running around wanting to tell the world...I know I would.
Your excitement is contagious...I can feel it all the way here in Swindon and I'm bouncing off the walls for you.
Good luck with the surgery...I'll be thinking of you.
Best wishes.
Jenny. xx

Hi Bee
Hi Bee
Well done you. You did it. And although you still have a few hurdles to get through, you managed the worst bit. I got very nauseated from anasthetic before, but since I told the anesthetist about the problems, they put something into the mix and I haven't had the problem since.

That is good news - as good
That is good news - as good as you could hope for in the circumstances anyway. I know you might feel like you are not out of the woods yet and you still have cancer but it's a positive milestone passed. You can take comfort that your suffering wasn't a complete waste of time and get yourself good and strong for the next stage.

Great way to start the day,
Great way to start the day, reading good news. So glad to hear that. Something gaining experiences cost a lot, probably too much. But it's great when are good results.
All the best for what's next

Hello Bee,
Hello Bee,
I thought I had read this. I am so glad I checked back because I have already read Results Part Two, but this is really good news though I know you still have the future operation to contend with but, at least, you now have a future to look forward to. You still have hurdles to climb and mountains to jump but know that everyone accompanying you on this journey is rooting for you.
Always in my thoughts
