An Open Letter to President Trump

             This was a fruitful and historic trip. Like Nixon to China, you extended a bridge of peace to the mainstream Islamic world, thus strengthening our war preparations against terrorism and its supporters. Clad in humble black, you carried on the sacred tradition of meeting the Pope and allowing him to share his pious and idealistic perspective.

             You carried on the old quest for peace in the divided Holy Land, and in Europe took on a new and shifting landscape. I can't agree with you on all issues Mr. President, but after much thought and prayer, it is clear to me that despite the mixed press, you are doing great things for America... and we are making history by being part of this movement.

              And the world is in positive movement: you'll note that Macron met productively with Putin, following your lead away from the wrong war and toward greater cooperation against I.S.I.S. etc..

              In closing, may God bless the United States of America and indeed every nation of this planet that we strive to uplift and make great... so that in ten thousand years, people shall look back and remember our time as a rare golden age, deserving placement alongside the birth of science, art and democracy in Ancient Athens, or the peaceful but mighty rule of the Roman Emperor Trajan... who built walls and armies yet preserved an era of remarkable peace
