Remembrance Sunday and Sunday's Weekly Remembrance

Thanks, Di. I think we have to take courage that the Creator God is sovereign and has promised that despite all the foolishness and evil he is still the One who ultimately has his hand on the when that he will return again and make all things new i.e. the world we will not be annilated by a folly of any human. But that doesn't answer the questions of all the other problems in the world that we and our children encounter. And so again we have to commit ourselves and them to his care and protection, but ask his help to live the life and speak wisely.

When people groan at the aimlessness of young people, I say that they have not been given guidelines and boundaries (or sensible discipline) and have been left floundering often. At Halloween people seem to think they like to play 'horror' but forget that many don't know how to handle real fears, and that there is a God, Father and Son, to whom they can pray when frightened. And he can help both in giving wisdom to discern what is bad, and also help in everything that may come in life, and death.

Also, there are times when we need to speak up in public debates when God's wise structure of living gets thrown out and mocked.

So, try to read and think about his words, and that prayerfully, asking to really know him, and his Holy Spirit in your heart.
