Don’t Stop Being Who You Are

Straight up , its hard to believe

but wait a half a lifetime to find out

and then you’ll know its true.

All the things you believe in

and all the things that you’ve done

matters nothing to no one but you .

Don’t expect support from those you love

and don’t be discouraged,

find strength form the spirit within.

People will disappoint you and abandon you

But just stay true to all that you believe in .

Write on and sing your song

and don’t let their abuse take away

that gift you have been given .

People will be jealous of you,

learn to forgive and forget

because your life is for living  .

Don’t allow the insecurity of others

destroy all the positive things about you .

If they try to take away your opportunities ,

its because they’ve nothing better to do.

They will try to criticise you

and remove the goodness in everything you enjoy to do ,

you are someone they can never be

and as much as they desire it

they can never be you .
