Dark Night of the Soul

Hope is not hope until there
is nothing left to hope for,
and faith is not faith until
any belief in God is dead,
and love is not love until it
is tested by its own defeat.
Yet through such doubts
the soul and God may meet.

Looking into oneself, or
Looking into oneself, or abandoning it cannot give a certain way and knowledge of what is actual truth, to give faith, true hope, love.
Mystical feelings and yearnings towards the supernatural cant give any certain sound, in our ignorance and fallenness we need to have it communicated to us, The Bible scriptures can be trusted as real revelation to help mankind if we will read carefully and prayerfully, and they show the way to faith, hope and love, through the Saviour provided, Jesus himself being called the Word of God also.
