LONELY ROOM

She stands in the bedroom that they had shared.
She can almost feel him against her skin,
As his breath teases the back of her neck,
Until he desires what she's thinking.
Their love life was gentle and explosive;
He was caring, she was full of passion.
She wonders if he ever thinks about,
Those nights she knows he should have forgotten.
She imagines his warmth spreading through her.
But it's no good crying because he's gone;
It won't alter the fact she's haunted by,
The ghost of a lover she cheated on.
