LOVE FOOL

He told Kim that he liked her.
She smaned, "Don't be daft."
Though she liked the attention,
She turned away or laughed.

He said that he felt for her,
Like nobody before.
Kim said something mockingly,
Knowing he'd want her more.

She took his love for granted;
Thought things would stay that way;
Thought she had the upper hand,
'til she was out one day;

And she saw him, looking glad,
Like he felt peace within.
And suddenly, she realised,
How much she wanted him.

Kim decided finally,
She'd let him have his way,
That she would announce to him,
It was his 'lucky day'.

But as she walked towards him,
Someone went by his side.
They embraced. And Kim just stared,
Completely mortified.

She had been a silly fool;
Thought she was in control.
She was distraught she'd been wrong;
What she wanted had gone.
