MAYBE TOMORROW

Maybe tomorrow,
Sunlight will pour through the window with new promise.
Perhaps tomorrow,
I could forget how bad it is to feel like this.

Maybe tomorrow,
The ridiculous weight of my sadness will lift.
Perhaps tomorrow,
I'll remind myself that life is a precious gift.

Maybe tomorrow,
I won't care about all those words you used to say.
Perhaps tomorrow,
I'll shrug off the grief that you caused my heart today.

Maybe tomorrow,
I'll stop shedding tears that you're now who I'm without.
Perhaps tomorrow,
I will forget who I wrote this poem about.
