REFLECTING ME

Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
Can't you pretend I'm beautiful?
Can't you reflect a gorgeous sight;
Show my look in a different light?
Mirror, mirror, hanging there,
You are starting to get me down.
I'm thinking it would be better,
If you were face down on the ground.
For then I couldn't see you,
Which means that I wouldn't see me.
You wouldn't draw my attention,
To my outer imperfection.
Mirror, mirror, on the wall,
You know I'd love to smash you up.
Only, superstition tells me,
That I'd have seven years' bad luck.
