SORE SUBJECT

She wonders where he is.
She hates being alone.
The place she most hangs out,
Is by her telephone.
She's wishing he would call;
If just for a minute.
It's a relationship;
With only her in it.
She doesn't want to see;
He doesn't feel the same.
She's failing to accept,
To him she was a game.
He played her to pass time.
He just wanted some fun.
She read things too deeply;
Thought she had found someone.
The phone still doesn't ring.
You and I both know why.
But she can't understand,
And she can't help but cry.
She thought that he was real.
She believed it would work.
She'll learn she's partly right;
For he was a real jerk.
