TURN BACK THE CLOCK?

If I hadn't made the mistakes that I've made.
If only I'd got all of my exam grades.
If I had not done things I would regret,
Or acted in ways I would sooner forget...

If there were not times when I wanted to hide,
Or times that I've realised I should have tried.
If I had not done the things I did wrong,
Or missed opportunities that have now gone...

If I had not behaved somewhat foolishly,
Or things were just how I'd wished they would be.
If I hadn't got told off for some thing I didn't do.
If I could rewind everything and start my life anew...

If each negative thing could be wiped away,
So all I have done would be at least OK.
If I had said all that I wanted to say;

I wouldn't be the person that I am today.
