An Expectation of Roses

'Neath sizzling sunbeams of Earth renewed
Tight blossoms stir, their sleep eschewed
As amorous coo of paired courting fowl
The call to life is for here and now
But I harken hence to a distant Spring
To sway to songs that the angels sing
Where in light resplendent I'm bathed, aglow
Smell a different waft from the flowers you know
For I dream of bloom and a heady nose
And unfurl myself into fulsome rose
I would thornless stand in eternal bliss
To be gathered up in my Father's kiss
So let me loose from this world of strife
My heart now beats for a different life
Farewell sweet buds still in slumberous lie
T'is a goodly day wherein for me to die

I've made my peace with life,
I've made my peace with life, death and wevryting inbetween. Can't say till it happens but I think when my times comes, I'm good to go. Always one for a move, pin in the map job and start again, I think I look upon death that way. 'come on then, let's see if this is any better than the last place.' Your poem is beautiful but I took that smake kind of feeling from it. Lovely words and analogy.
