When we came home from school we two
to the kitchen we headed without further ado.
Unbelievably peckish I remember we were,
our hungry stomachs all astir.
You headed for cheese
and I for chocolate.
You had fish spread
while I had cake
We munched and we teased
each other about school.
I miss it sometimes.
Sentimental old fool.
