Rain

Have you ever bathed under the rain?
All our lives
We run
We hide
We avoid
Any instance of it
Society
Parents
Media
Their words
Their guidance
Now, discard them for a while
Feel the freedom
That is nature's shower
Throw off any prenominations
You had of the rain
Feel the freedom
Give yourself over to nature
Forgive the wrongs nature's done to you
Forgive the worries society pushed upon you
Forget the ills that sprung from them
Give up
Give in
Accept the natural cycle
That is the inevitable
In your underwear
Naked even--
Sweet, sweet childhood,
And feel Her cold embrace

I read this earlier this morning when it was raining and thought, dare I? But then decided it wouldn't be fair on the neighbours. But reading your poem, I knew exactly how it would feel to abandon your cares and get showered by the rain. A really nice idea - loved it.
