FEELINGS OF LOVE THE KISS (IP) updated

Ah! I remember
when baby was small
how I would teach her
to blow kisses to all

Her pink lips would pucker up
the little delicate finger's
as she stood on her twinkle toes
to blow a kiss like a floating rose

I do wish all were
more huggy to-day

You know it's good
for a headache
also for the soul
whether young or old

Do we see many in the street
arms around each other when we meet
or standing giving a smoochy kiss
these are all the things we miss

Hands to hold someone close
or a kiss can be cold as a slimey toad
not as expected it to be
so close your eyes and dream

"Think of all can give a hug
but not a bear hug please
watch their face light up
giving that golden touch".

I think I will wear a placard
please give me a hug
see their reaction to me

A kiss can make one sad or happy
blood pressure up or down
also can get ready of frowns
or put a face on like a clown

I don't want to end up like
the bronze statue the kiss
in a shop window
arms around each other
please all comments and ideas please
how is that

This is lovely, Julie. Just one tiny thing in the 6th verse, third line down, should be 'expected'. I particularly like this verse:- "Think of all can give a hug but not a bear hug please watch their face light up giving that golden touch." Much enjoyed, Julie and well done;-) Tina

Hi julie, what a wonderful picture you paint here with words, I remember when my son was tiny and he used to blow kisses, it's so sweet to remember those times and you brought it all back to me in this lovely poem. Thankyou for the read. Jenny.

new Silver-Spun-Sand Gee! thanks I read one, forgotten whose. Gave me few ideas, as half out bed on here (back) high seats cushions have and where I go And quickly thought up.I have corrected the spelling thankyou,I wasn't sure, and put in the speech marks you have done kindly. The toad true, knew someone friend years,forces, and one day foursome,the kiss good night.Went in the forces in those days. Daughter likes statues of Ronan's kiss, saw as a lamp going by for her birthday, but he said no. Is the title to long.Have a good bank holiday.Many thanks quite cold. Your's are tip-top Do you remember song As Times Go By" - "A kiss is just a kiss". julie xx

new Seashore Thanks and you, it can heal so many things. Sometimes rifts arguments. We usually curl or sulk maybe trying to explain. A priest once said we are a very cold blooded people. So all the hug and have a kiss, no matter who. But once the children grow up not so keen.Or many. Mine is not a huggy one,some aren't.But heavy in weight, used to literally get crushed, frightening under him,so separate divans heaven? The bit about a bear hug was once a friend gave my aunt one, oh! ended up cracked ribs, that is possible man's strength, watch ou for body builder's. ha! ha! There you are hugs and two kisses. julie xx

a lovely poem Julie, especially for something you haven't "thought out". I'd expand on the images you have, they're great.

ScoZen Hello! dear ScoZen,just seen lovely comments, glad you liked poem, I tried one on here, about 2010 called name of our daughter "My Dear Lorraine" I was new then to all this,it was in a book by 1st base then homeless done all free, thought quite good for me anyway. Once she had a card, 1st birthday every part was of baby, word's were beautiful. Really! some say they do like a chat! more of an agony aunt than poet. Let's say with age,one can grow more knowledge, mainly help comes from Editor. T.cook Tony, and all AbcTaler's, no good punctuation. So your kind comment very greatful to. Must read some more of your good work. I don't always know good comment to reply always.Busy knitting toy dolls, turning couple into H.R.H Prince William Duke of Cambridge and H.R.H Duchess of Cambridge Catherine. Wedding couple, using pattern and changing colour's, and part of another pattern of postmans hat.Saw in shop, but I have books way back. then stuff. If turns out ok may post it to them.What have you been doing, or where, anything interesting.Both had bug ok now N/home think, been shopping daughter nice!Mine was at bowls or doing the scores.
