We have a problem in my work
It comes from theft and stealing
I think the word has got around
That we are easy pickings
I saw it only yesterday
This drunk came in, and swept away
a pile of shirts nearest the door
then came back in for even more
The trouble is, l've tried to say
we have no real security
Cut to the bone
grumble and moan
But also staff are overworked
so there's no chance to stop these jerks.
Thieving is now on the rise
They do it in front of your eyes
Those smirking faces l can see
But no one's there to assist me
'Bring a van to the side door'
That'll be the next thing to endure
These gangs are clever, cunning, rough
I will not challenge a tough nut ..

You have put the picture
You have put the picture very neatly, Denni.
A sense of respect for other people's belongings, and the wrongness of theft seems to have disappeared a lot together with other moral values as an awareness of there being a God who does define right and wrong has dwindled, but in the end we all, even the culprits are the losers. We all need boundaries for happiness! regards, Rhiannon

I guess that's what I was
I guess that's what I was getting at, but having a loose attitude to right and wrong, and you can choose, in all society around at present doesn't help.

Good poem and interesting
Good poem and interesting comments.
Humanity is divided into two categories; dudes/dudesses and scumbags. It is possible for a dude to become a scumbag but it is not possible for a scumbag to become a dude.
