Will We Ever Listen
Sun-drenched, ancients roared with scorn
Filled with lascivious, fornicating dreams
Noah preached in vain
To save the sinful many from
Billowing clouds of leaden rain.
This desert land scorched by the sun
Soon filled with subterranean death.
Fingers of avenging light
Split the sudden night
God’s voice thundered
Too late to listen
As the rods of justice
Blinded the fated sinful.
Only eight were not too late.
So as the Polar Bears swim
In tropical water once frozen.
Maybe we should listen
And take a heavy hint
Before the only ice
Is a Glacier Mint.

Indeed ...
... human ears... permanently malfunctioning - and often some brains too...
