"But I don't want to play the trumpet Ma! I want to play baseball
with my friends!"
"Don't argue with me Brian! You'll feel the back of my hand!"
"But -"
"But nothing - play your trumpet. Your Pa bought it special."
"But I wan't to play baseball!"
"Well that's just typical! Your Pa works all hours to get you a trumpet
and you don't care! Selfish boy! What are you going to do when we're
old, your Pa and Me? Think you can support us by playing baseball? You
need a proper trade - one that can earn you dollars not donuts! You'll
thank us when you play Carnegie Hall, believe me."
"But -"
"Pick up that trumpet and play!"
"But - "
"Play!"
"Yes Ma."
