LIKE ONE OF YOUR FLOWERS 

 

Will you press me

Like one of your flowers, 

And keep me inside your little book?

If you get lonely 

And you're running on hours,

You can open it up and take a look.

 

We were blooming 

In summertime showers,

And the whole of my chest was caving in.

Could be someone,

Or it could be nothing;

But too much of me was wearing you thin.

What an interesting poem; the image of being pressed like a flower makes it sweet and sad, I liked it.
