Marks Tey on a Sunday night - parked
outside the railway station waiting...
Twelve lucozade
yellow street
lamps
stand
like
electric
dinosaurs
frozen in
time
above
the
slip-
roads
and
short-
stay
carparks.
More real
and a part
of nature
than
the
dark
brooding
foliage
that's
bathed
in the
piss of
their
glow.
Concrete stems and plastic flowers
A bunch of strange daffodils evolution
has plucked, raising up to the empty sky.
An offering to a God whose reply is
the hum of traffic and train cancellations
over the tanoy.
