When Mr K was killed
We were far from thrilled
His trial was unprecedented
The verdict was not contended
His famous last words ‘like a dog’
Left the reader in the proverbial fog

Quite tantalizing, Pia, as you've got it neat and compact, but I don't think I know the book (film?) it's about. Rhiannon

A powerful little poem that brought me back to reading The Trial. Like you I didn't "get" all of it but the overall power of the novel struck me.

Cleverly written...which reminds me, I really must finish The Trial, one of these days. A bit above me, but I enjoy the challenge.

Hello Pia,
Kafka is a name that I keep hearing about as Alan Bennett often mentions him in his writings. One day I might get round to reading him. In the meantime I have an instruction manual to finish. Gripping stuff!

The shape of your poem is as interesting as what it is saying. It seems like a Fibonacci sequence poem, is it?
