He fanned the flames
and muddied the waters
now we’re knee-deep
in a fiery swamp

Blood and soil passion
has crippled all reason
They can't think
with the brains that they got

With a chip on the shoulder
some bastards grow bolder
waving flags that shout,
‘hate mob still rules’

Don't ever lie down
and don't ever bow down
to a world full of
liars and fools

liars and fools
naked king rules
which fool is he
fooling today?

Everything’s fine here
but only if you’re blind
to a world full of
liars and fools

Fingers crossed for you all until Jan 20th.  Not that I think the Fool will disappear then, but at least he won't have the nuclear codes.

Thanks, Jane. I'd like to say that the psychopathic one will walk away quietly, but we all know that's not going to happen. They need to folow through on the impeachment. Wishing i was retired. this coming in and out of the city everyday is glum business. But writing gets my sprit up. Cheers to you, dear lady. Hope the lockdown is not to stressful.

Thanks, Claudine. I wrote the first verse in 2017 then got distracted and came cross it again a couple of weeks back and finished it off. Was happy to come up with something.

Yeah, I've been working on that. Hope to have something by the weekned. I've tried singing it and it keeps sounding like You picked a Fine Tim to Leave Me, Lucille. lol. It wouldn't be the first time I wrote a song to someone else's tune without realizing it. I'll give Kenny Rogers half the credit. Ha.
