The voice of snow on winters night
Makes silence seem so loud
The beauty of the frozen white
Gives hardened earth a shroud

The bitter chill of winters breath
Blows soft through crystal trees
The leaves of fall avoiding death
Made still by frigid breeze

The call of the winter season
A yearly settled score
By its hand we have new reason
The winter I adore
