My adolescence caused him his life
My adolescence bridges the strife
I collared the stillness of his frame
As he simply laid there, a hollow flame;
Even in death, he shines brighter than the hidden sun;
Even in death, he paid the price of my tears begun.
So, at last, he descends in the earth,
Away from the free world, where I might
Stop my growth, oh God, stop it right now,
A frozen moment in time, I shall
Become. Just like you did on that night your soul flew high
In the light, I curled into a ball as if to die.

And thoroughly deserved
And thoroughly deserved those cherries are too; well done.
