Armchair counsellor
In my beginning is my end.
Every love I’ve ever had my first and last,
There’ll never be another you.
Wasn’t anyone before you, never will, can’t be anyone after;
Wouldn’t make sense.
And things really need to make sense-
Love actually does.
Make the world go round. Really.
In my end is my beginning.
It was when we went to the counsellor to make it last
I knew it wouldn’t.
She showed us into the room –
You walked right into it.
Sofa in the middle of the room,
Looked pretty well upholstered to me.
Two armchairs each side.
You’re the lady – I let you go first.
I’m a man, I let you go first.
You sat on the armchair.
So I let you go first.

An unusual subject presented in an interesting detached way. small point - 4th line from end - lose the r before the ' and one of the 'the's.
