Dear Gary,
Suprised to get your voicemail late last night, what has it been, over a year now since you left?
Sorry things haven't worked out for you and Sarah but as we all know life moves on. I recently met someone called Trevor, really nice man, he moved in with me last month.
I'd like to say that I'm completely over you but that wouldn't be the truth. I still think of you a lot.
I still remember the time you punched me so hard that you broke my cheek bone and I spent 3 days in Hospital all because I said the wrong thing to you when you came home drunk one night! Yes I still remember that, hard to forget really. I also remember having to lie to our friends and family, telling them that I'd fallen down the stairs and them ( and you) laughing and telling me what a clumsy cow I was.
I still remember the time you came home at 4 oclock in the morning, reaking of perfume and alcahol. I think you punched me in the stomach that night!
You said on the voicemail that you'd like to "pop" in and see me and have a chat.
That would be fantastic, come over anytime.
Oh, did I mention that Trevor owns the local gym where he teaches Karate? He's also preparing for a tournament in a few weeks. he does something called "Cage Fighting".
He said last night that he can't wait to meet you!
So come over anytime you like!
Sue.

This is rough and ready but so beautifully smack in the face good.
I remember having to become imaginative and increasingly more inventive with my lies. I think my favourite was when the crash helmet fell out of the loft and kissed me.
Favourite line and them ( and you) laughing ...but I'd lose the brackets.
