Favour shiny trousers

That blend in with your vetoed tyre

Camouflage, a fuke??

Or a deep fanatical desire?

People akin to cycling

Now!!

I reckon lycra deserves an explanation

Craze, practicality

Or underlying facination

Bally dancers, runners

Are they dedicated to their sport

Or is it the clinging reassurance

Of spandex's inescapable support?

Fishing and those waders

And why the peculiar grin?

Are they considering their catch?

Or is it the waders wading in?

Press-studs, leather, shiny beads

Embroidery, trends and hates

Are they blameless fashion fads?

Or transcendent Froydant states?

Wellies, trainer's, furry-boots

Stilettos, hankies, sarongs

I reckon there's a lot more

Obscured by fashion

Than the simple rights and wrongs!
