Verbose Sand

This grain of sand
Upon my hand
Is portending this plea
"I am
but a fractious particle
Once apart of mother
sea
I cannot change the
universe
I cannot soothe mans
brow
Though..
I've been built
into a castle
And flicked in frenzied
row
Frankly?
I'd rather be a
windscreen
Or a skylight in your
home
Where I can watch life's
Shifting shadows
Sense
amusement
Quiet each moan
I'm not
as grand as marble
Nor as firm as close nit
oak
No heart no mind
No soul
refined
I have no froth like
coke
Oh, to be a
rooftile
Quenched by rain
And
chilled by frost
I am but a grain of
sand
Even on this beach
I'm
simply lost"
