Life Is Short

Life is short ,

its just the blink of an eye ,

we are all born to live 

and then we die .

In between where we’ve been 

and where we are  

is where we should be 

and it’s  not that far .

Here today , tomorrow we could be gone ,

Who knows , it comes and goes 

like  night and dawn 

and when we are gone 

life will carry on , 

almost like were hardly ever here..

Every one of us could just disappear.

Treat every day like it could be your last

for you never know and as time

goes past , you’ll see suddenly 

how short life can be .

If we live to be one hundred we see

thats brief compared to immortality.

We see our years like seconds 

pass away and our memories get lost on the way .

Life is short and we are not here to stay

we’re just visiting for a while today .
