Airedale gig

How did that come about?
Heard it on the radio, most likely
Driving back last week
The headitorium’s been captured
Now I’m walking down the towpath
A pledge to myself, and here it is
Live Forever on endless loop
Loud enough to be heard
By the cyclists and walkers
And two anglers spinning for pike
But no one lets on
At a bend the canopy gives way
To a roadbridge and open bank
The contour rolls in limestone sections
Down to Airedale past a shepherd and his sheep
Vocal breaks to solo (ah, it’s in this room)
Rising through a gap between the clouds
And in this moment everything is sound

I'm not one for listening to
I'm not one for listening to music outside, but inside I increasingly find myself sitting with my headphones on playing music far too loud (so I won't disturb the rest of the block) and ruining my hearing. Kirsty MacColl's 'Free World' is a current favourite. 'Roll With It' is another. It really is all too much for me to take.
