Nice one parsons. You've got the ability to convey lots with little. Words chosen well, put into the right order to paint an idea. The reference to Bradbury in this context is excellent and it put me I'll at ease (in a good way) to think that that particular master should need a place on a shelf of any description. Thought provoking. And the idea that the presence of his stories in your hard drive might cause havoc is also brilliant. RIP Raymond Douglas Bradbury.

What a writer, scratch. Read S is for Space when I was about twelve. Haven't stopped reading since. Fahrenheit 451 is unnervingly accurate. RIP Hope you're all well, mate.

That's a really good point, Bear. Where would you put all the books that you are going to buy anyway? Thanks for wandering over. Bradbury has had quite an impact. Loved the Horror short stories series, too. I went an bought some of those again years later - was it Pan?

Yes, I remember those. And the Martian Chronicles, which I've still got. There is a great story in one of the Pan books about a boy diving in his secret river pool and finding a corpse. Superbly written. There was a post on here recently that very much reminded me of the style. Rebecca, I've just bought Slaughterhouse 5. Oh, and The Dharma Bums. Bookshelf clearance not going well.
