Early Blessings
The Mother Nature
hides His treasure
evolved out of the evolutions
to sustain the creations
since long before the human birth
beneath the surface of the earth,
behind and over the mountains,
below the bottom of the oceans,
in the deep and dense forest
in the forms, the crudest
where coexist
man and beast
in nature’s lap
never bothers to tap
the treasure, they often tramp
for their needs to stamp
“Uncivilized, undeveloped they stay.”
So the civilized people say
When to propel the civilization
ahead towards moon and sun
need they support
of the materials insert
ferrous and nonferrous
and energy enormous.
Covet they at this treasure
hidden by mother nature.
With technological wisdom
executing acts and tact awesome
they locate explore exploit
transport, extract with skill adroit
from its fortress
succeeding after trials countless
metal to aid the civilization
to march ahead with spiraling ambition.
Thus was an exploitation
on bauxite for aluminum production.
The East coast bauxite
rejected forthright
as alumina contentment content.
At it, none dared to dent.
Add to it local tribal unsuitable
for a plant needing skill at the highest level.
But the huge deposit
lured the government to persist
with BALCO the public sector
being aluminum manufacturer
It was assigned to project on it
as Eastcoast bauxite deposit
with two thousand million tons
as an approximate estimations
arrived at by MECL bore well data explorations
thus dividing the deposits into two divisions
based on regions as Orissa and Andhra deposits
with noting to make them as NALCO and RALCO
as public sector companies as sisters to BALCO.
Broachers were made with data, prerequisites
to fascinate the best expertise in the field
to make those viable with profitable yield
For Orissa projects, France showed interest
for Andhra portion, Russians were on the quest.
With the thrust of Biju Patnaik then the mines minister
the impediments on Orissa side were instantly made clear
with guarantees to French for railway lines and water
road connectivity and the stability of electric power.
French went ahead in their laboratory run
all initial hitches cleated by Biju babu’s intervention.
while the investments were under consideration
The party in power fell making it uncertain
The congress party then took over
In Orissa Janaki Patnaik being the leader
Janaki babu’s love for the state
continued to shape the project’s fate
Pursued he, where Bijubabu had left
By stalwarts of both parties, the project was blest.
On the pretext of morning tea
to PM Madam Gandhi, J B went to see
with Orissa project only in the mind
“ An opportune with her if he could fond
to get her nod for the project to go ahead.”
and it happened thus NALCO was bred.
Two leaders of parties in opposition
had the wellbeing of their state as one mission
that blessed Orissa with NALCO as its offspring
“ To Orissa’s investment glory. her success could bring.”
Individual contributions
by her iconic sons
has done the state wonders
but their united effort in blessing NALCO
the state Orissa and its citizens with humility bow.
All songs in their praises cannot pale
those Nalconuans without fail
translated their spade works with dedications
and thus architected Nalco on a solid foundation.
that Nalcowe acknowledge with gratitude
Nalco collective pray for them “ A life hale hearty and hued.”

A lot of research orcomposit
A lot of research orcomposit knowlege has gone into this. It's a strong and sure read. I love the way it evolves from the beauty of nature to the sordidity of man. That even when the men are raping the earth you credit the skill and expertise of their trade. I started reading thi as a poem--but a third of the way through I was rapping it, such is the pace and th way it carries you.
Very well done.
