If I had breath

If I had breath enough
I would breathe out all this tiresome dross
Filling me till full of futile thought
Positively, I would tip toe into your mind
And infuse you with the wonderful smell of summer
Actively, I would start a courtship so rare
That my heart would pulse
Beating like humming bird's wings
You alone would I know
Recapture a youthful glance so true
That only you and I would know it
Deciphering scenes like artful dramatists
Purposely rehearsing for our future
Still, you don’t pause to look my way
Your charms adorn another’s arms.
