He was originally going to be the Tin Man and he died at the age of 95.
After living for over ninety years, this talented man could no longer survive.
Barnaby Jones was another character who Ebsen portrayed.
The world lost this man who has been dead for two decades.

'Come and listen to my story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
And then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground come a bubblin crude.'

I only ever knew him as Jed but the Beverley Hillbillies was a precious part of my childhood.
